Replacement for Dan Patrick Announced: Mike Tirico Radio Show

It has been announced:  The Mike Tirico Show will debut on September 20th. 



Tirico will cover the 1-3pm Eastern timeslot on ESPN Radio.

The 3-4pm Eastern timeslot will be covered by Stephen A. Smith (we all know what the "A" stands for).

Since Dan Patrick announced his decision to pursue other avenues, ESPN Radio has filled the time with a number of guest hosts.  Standouts included:  Scott Van Pelt, Eric Kusilias, Doug Gottlieb and of course, Mike Tirico.

Dan Patrick will be tough to replace...

That is great. I love Tirico when he does Football & Basketball games. I also think that he has the same kind of clout that DP had so the big name guests will still come on the show. Good Choice ESPN.

Tirico is a solid choice, but I would've preferred Scott Van Pelt.  I think Tirico is really the non-offensive choice - nobody really has a bone to pick with him.
