Report: Ex-Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw on Bengalsí radar
According to multiple reports, the Cincinnati Bengals have expressed interest in Ahmad Bradshaw as they are looking for a backup running back to play alongside Cedric Peerman.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a need at running back after Rahsard Mendenhall landed in Arizona during free agency.
But with the increasing interest in Ahmad Bradshaw the Pittsburgh Steelers might have to adopt a considerably quicker approach than their wait-and-see scheme to determine the progress of Brashaw’s recovery from late-January foot surgery. This is the third-time in his career that Ahmad Bradshaw had surgery on his right foot since 2009.
Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals could perhaps set up a visit and a possible workout with Ahmad Bradshaw sometime over the next week or two. This visit could also help to give an idea of the Cincinnati Bengals’ intentions towards upgrading at running back either through free agency or the NFL draft.
Earlier this week, the Cincinnati Bengals worked out former Dallas Cowboys free agent running back Felix Jones.
Besides dealing with foot issues, Ahmad Bradshaw’s season was marred by other injures as well. But Ahmad Bradshaw has earned a reputation of playing through pain during his six NFL seasons. Last season, Ahmad Bradshaw played through knee and neck injuries as well to record 1,015 yards in 14 games – still the second-best total of his career.
