Newly acquired Phoenix Suns small forward, Caron Butler, has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks before he even had a chance to play for them. The 33-year-old veteran is a Milwaukee native and is excited to come back to his roots.
Prior to the details of the trade coming out, last night Butler tweeted, "Much respect for the organization of the Phx Suns#staytuned"
This is a great trade for the Milwaukee Bucks, since they were going to start Carlos Delfino at the small forward position. However, with Butler’s arrival, the Bucks now have some depth on their bench with Luke Ridnour, Carlos Delfino, Gary Neal, and John Henson capable of providing quality minutes.
Furthermore, with the new additions of Brandon Knight, O.J. Mayo, and Caron Butler, the Bucks now have three new players in the starting lineup. This is a totally different team from last year. In many ways, this is the facelift that this mediocre franchise needed. And with the development of Larry Sanders and John Henson on the frontcourt, this team has a lot of potential to be a dark horse this year.
