Mandatory Credit: Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsLess than a week after his scorched earth tirade on Jonathan Martin, Richie Incognito has apologized to his former teammate, saying that he went too far and that they're still brothers.

I'm not convinced that it's entirely sincere, because it would stand to reason that Incognito would say just about anything at this point to get another chance to play for an NFL team.

The 144-page NFL-commissioned report was rather damning for Incognito, as was his indignation in the days following it.

Despite the report that included reports of racist and homophobic treatment of both teammates and team employees, Incognito's first instinct was to attack Martin for breaking the 'code' of the locker room.

To each his own, but it's pretty hard for me to take this apology seriously.
