Robert Sacre Receives Qualifying offer from Lakers

While Andrew Goudelock, Darius Morris and Devin Ebanks didn’t receive qualifying offers from the Los Angeles Lakers, big man Robert Sacre did.

His $988,872 offer makes him a restricted free agent come July 1st.

The other three players all required over $1 million investment for their qualifiers which is likely why the Lakers decided against extending them offers while providing the energetic bench dancer an offer.

The forward/center only made it into 32 games last season, but again, some of that can be attributed to poor bench rotation. Sacre said of the situation:

"Right now I'm a Laker. I know I'm a Laker and I feel the Lakers are comfortably with me, so let's just go with that. I work out during the day and then I finish off with a nice day at the beach."

However, he let a little self-interest show through when he was asked about helping to recruit Dwight Howard, saying, “I don’t want to be the fault of him choosing the wrong team. I think he'll be fine."

Hearing that leads you to believe that Sacre thinks Howard is not right for the Lakers, though that could be him trying to amble for more minutes. Either way, it doesn’t show much promise for them coming together as a team.

Hopefully it was a slip of the tongue because everyone loves seeing Sacre’s celebration dances.
