The Rockets have announced a new alternate jersey
, which they will debut on November 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It's a little bit of an homage to their past jerseys, with some modern tweaks. It reportedly took over a year to to finish the design, which was created by Jose Lopez, the Rockets' Creative Services Manager. Lopez had this to say about the new threads:
“Everybody still talks about the championship years and you see fans wearing the retro jerseys, so why not bring that back - why not use the ketchup and mustard colors? So that’s what I went with. I started designing the jersey with ‘Houston’ on the front because I know how important it is to represent the city. We wanted to make sure everyone knows just how proud we are to call this city home.”
