Rory Sabbatini Is Talking Crying Again, Wants FedEx Cup to Only Count Those Playing ALL Event
READ MORE:
It had been to quiet on the Rory Sabbatini words of wisdom front. Since he's not winning the FedEx Cup, he's thought of the one way to help his game catch up to his mouth.
"The way I see it, if you don't play all four events, you shouldn't be eligible," Sabbatini said Tuesday.

Sabbatini equated the FedEx Cup playoff system to those in other sports.

"If they played one event for the playoffs in the NBA or baseball or football, you play one [game] and if you decide, OK, I'm going to skip this week, that's a forfeit," he said. "That's the way I see it."

MJD of the Fanhouse was kind of enough to interpret Rory Sabbatinglish for us:
"Waaaah! Tiger's too good! Tiger can win the FedEx Cup when he's not trying as hard as I am! Waaaaaah! Tiger makes me feel like an ugly little girl with a unibrow! Waaaah! I want Tiger to hold my hand and take me to get ice cream and tell me I'm a pretty little princess, but he won't, because he's mean! Waaaah!"
And then Rory kept talking, something about he can still win the FedEx Cup.

"I figure I've just got to play well and everyone ahead of me has got to play badly. That's about as simple as it gets," he said.

"If you go by Vegas, I'm 66-to-1," Sabbatini said. "I think theoretically there's only five guys that can actually win the FedEx Cup now. So I've got a 20 percent chance, in my opinion, and the way I'm playing, I'd probably say a little higher than that."

I'd say you have a tremendous chance, Rory. After all, Tiger's really not all that good anymore. It's almost a guarantee Rory starts coming out with Tiger is cheating accusations. Now there's some Vegas odds I'd like to see.

Whatever you think of Sabbatini, is he wrong? Is it not an insult to the game and the playoff system in particular, to skip one of only four playoff events with intentions of still contending for the title?

In other news, I think sometimes sports fans are too eager to accuse certain competitiors of "crying" or "whining". I'm not saying that's necessarily true in Sabbatini's case; maybe he does whine too much. Still, just because someone is vocal about something he/she disagrees with doesn't automatically mean he/she is being a crybaby.

In general I would agree with you ... but not in the case of Rory Sabbatini. Definition of a crybaby. I appreciate his desire to be the best, but he's never putting the onus on himself. Just win some tournaments Rory.

And was does the NBA playoffs have to do with golf?

Rory needs to shut his mouth. If he was smart you would think not having Tiger play in an event would increase your chances of winning. The only event that Rory won this year, Tiger didn't play in.

All Rory Sabbatini wants is to beat Tiger and what better way to do that then not let him compete because he sure isn't going to beat him straight up.

Sabbatini is a little girl. God, if someone plays less tournaments then you and still has more points then you, its no ones fault by your own. You had more chances at points and you didn't take advantage, your fault, not Tigers. Grow Up Rory and beat Tiger, don't whine about him being better then you.

Rory Sabatini seems to have this incredible ability to get his foot in his mouth and the rest of the time when he is trying to undo it(read: trying to get the foot out of his mouth), Tiger was busy outperforming him wherever they were competing together.

Although one must add the point he makes is a valid one. If the playoffs were such a big thing surely it must have been made mandatory for all the players in contention to participate unless it was a case of an injury. But by not placing that clause the PGA Tour had left the door open for the players to express their displeasure and many players took that opportunity by walking out one of the playoffs.

Fair point Rory, but it was the silliest thing you could have said considering your recent history with Tiger.

He must be managed by the same group as Britney. He obviously doesn't know when to shut up already.
