Wouldn't Danica Patrick and Rory Sabbatini make the perfect couple? If we could only find a way to lock those two in a room and throw away the key.

You're all aware of Rory's "Tiger Woods is as beatable as ever" nonsense and subsequent wetting himself yesterday at the Bridgestone Invitational.

Well he managed to sound as whiny as Danica yesterday on the 18th hole:

... after Sabbatini made a double bogey and was walking away from the ninth green, retired firefighter and paramedic Steve Banky casually said to him, "Hey, Rory. Still think Tiger's beatable?"

Sabbatini wheeled and pointed to Banky, telling a police officer that he wanted Banky removed from the course. He was escorted to the course's front entrance by two officers.

"We're out here to do our job -- let us do our job," Sabbatini said later. "Have a little bit of decorum, a little bit of class out there. I guess a few too many beers were talking."

I know golf is a game of "class," where fans are only supposed to applaud quietly and at all other times remain numb, but I don't exactly think this guy was out of line. Definitely not in need of being escorted off the course.

If you can't take the heat, Rory, you know where to go ...

0	That's pathetic. Now granted, Tiger would probably have done the same thing to a fan who dared to say anything, but if Sabbatini is too much of a (word rhyming with wussy) to take some smack, he shouldn't be talking any himself. No surprise that someone who went to u of a is all talk.

CF thank you for posting this because it made me think of something that has bothered me for a long time. Why are golfers such freaking pansies!!!!?

I play golf and by play I mean 2-4 times a week if I can. So I consider myself at least adequately knowledgeable on the subject. I do not understand why golfers are the only professional athletes that cannot concentrate when there is cheering going on? Not only that but they can't concentrate when someone is moving, taking a picture, or now even taunts them. Don't football players and baseball players have to put up with a lot worse than what was said to Rory? I mean I hate Barry Bonds but I can't imagine what he has to listen to when he goes out to the outfield. You don't see him (and he's really freaking sensitive) having fans thrown out of the stadium. I think a little taunting is good for golf. The guy wasn't inappropriate, he didn't threaten Rory, he simply called him out. Golfers need to man up and accept a little taunting, a little cheering, a little photography on the golf course... FREAKING PANSIES!

This is definitely a "If I ran the PGA ... I'd change this first" topic.

I've never been to the FBR before, but I need to go to the 16th for a day before I move out of Arizona.

I wonder if there is Wi-Fi out there - a live blog would be fun as long as I didn't spill beer on the laptop.
