According to Sam Amick of USA Today, after Wednesday night’s shoving match between the Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers, Roy Hibbert and David Lee now find themselves with a one game suspension. Both Hibbert and Lee have the reputation for being squeaky clean, so the physical altercation between the two players comes as a bit of a surprise. However, it goes to show that in the heat of a moment, it’s possible for any competitive player to erupt at any moment.
Additionally, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Lance Stephenson were fined $35,000 for their involvement in the altercation which only helped to escalate it further.
David Lee is now trying to appeal his suspension, but the appeal will not allow him to suit up for tonight’s game against the New York Knicks. It will only serve to get him his money back.
