Roy Williams Traded From Detroit Lions To Dallas Cowboys
Roy Williams Is Looking Forward To Taking More Catches From Terrell Owens
The Cowboys have been reeling lately, with losses to the Redskins and Cardinals in a 3-week stretch, as well as Tony Romo's injury, and Pacman Jones' suspension.

Jerry Jones wasn't ok with how the team was looking, and so they made one of the biggest trades in recent history, acquiring Lions' WR Roy Williams.

The Cowboys gave up their 1st, 3rd and 6th round draft picks for Williams, who was a Pro Bowler in 2006. Williams has averaged about 65 receiving yards per game, and a TD every other game. Once Tony Romo returns from his finger injury, the Cowboys' offense will be the most potent air attack in the league.

The acquisition of Williams gives the Cowboys 2 players named Roy Williams. No telling how they're going to handle that situation, but it looks like just one more day in the life of football's craziest franchise.

So the Cowboys now have two guys named Roy Williams who can't play pass defense.

hah Offense might look good but the D still is a mess and until Coach Phillips is no longer in Dallas they still wont win the super bowl! I love how he guarantees at the beginning of the season he has the best team and was gonna win it all and now they've lost 2 straight to the cards and Skin's but Williams will be a big boost on the O-side

Calvin Johnson fantasy owners are very happy.

When Romo gets back this offense is going to be amazing. Keep in mind, ive only been alive for 19 years and only watched football for about 9 years but this could be the most prolific offense ive ever seen. But we'll see. This trade could cause even MORE drama in Dallas with Owens and Roy.

Man that is WAY too much to give up for Williams. Seriously, the Cowboys got robbed blind.

Meanwhile, Detroit just cemented the first 0-16 NFL season ever. But they at least have quite a few draft picks now.

His arm has to carry my unbeaten fantasy team now that Romo went down. My dream season might be done after next week.

I couldn't imagine being a football fan for any other team.  How boring that must be.  The 'Boys are always exciting, to say the least.  can't wait to see how this unfolds.

Let's see, the Cowboys lose a quarterback, running back, punter, and defensive back this week, and Jerry sells the farm to get another wide receiver? Migod what a moron! Funny, I don't see that #1 pick being in the 25-30 range right now....

Oh, and tell me again, this will fulfill Jerry's stated goal of getting T.O. more touches how?

Sure smells like "Facelift Jerry" is pushing the panic button. Too much to give up for Williams.

I would love to see the look on TO's face when he heard about Roy Williams coming to town!!

TO now has a new BFF!

This has train wreck written all over it. They have a cry baby TO and now another WR to take catches away. Plus if Dallas wants to win anything they need to run the ball with Barber more. Plus Detroit took them to the cleaners. Too many draft picks for a pontential free agent

In your face T.O. And Damit Lions. Seriously. You have to think about your fans to, I wouldn't be seen at a Lions game.

Jerry Jones pulls off another one of his famous stunts, dont get me wrong Roy Williams is a great receiver and anyone that torks T.O off even more is golden in my book, I cant wait to see the post game show if Roy gets more balls and yds then T.O its gonna be as great as another Coors Light commericial...

You mean, giving up just a first round pick for a proven wide receiver?  Evidently you haven't seen how many picks Dallas actually had next season, if you have more chips to gamble with you can afford to make the bigger moves.  After this trade this is what they have left for their 2009 Draft:

The Cowboys 2009 Draft:

Round 1: No picks
Round 2: One pick (Dallas)
Round 3: One pick (from Cleveland)
Round 4: Two picks (Dallas, from Detroit)
Round 5: Two Picks (Dallas, from Tennessee)
Round 6: One Pick (from Miami)
Round 7: Two Picks (Dallas, from Detroit)

If Dallas really wants to move back into number one, something tells me Jerry will come up with something.

The Boys need cornerbacks. They have plenty of offense.

Ahhh...here come the haters agian. Already. Bunch of ESPN fed wanna-be's. "TO isn't going to be happy....." If you ask me, its called fear. If TO wasnt happy, then why was he the first person to call Roy  and roll out the welcome mat. Because thats what you do when you dont like something thats going on. You go first. Geez....you think you guys would have learned TO's not going to "blow up" the first five times you've said it. But I digress, what would the world be like if the haters didnt hate?  Point is, TO is not going to blow his lid here in Dallas. Here's why.
1. TO wants a ring. Probably the second greatest reciever all time, and it dont mean squat without a ring. Ask Marino, ask Chris Carter. Dallas is his last chance to get that.
2. Romo isnt trying to steal his thunder. In Philly, McSag had to be the star of the show. In Dallas if TO wants the job, it's his.

Sheesh... it's a no brainer to point the finger at a young, wealthy, self centered, over privileged athlete, w/a history of drinking, a probable illness, borderline felon, making awful decisions.  Go figure?!?!   What about "The Cowboys", ..."America's Team", world class NFL organization owner Jerry Jones putting all those eggs in that basket case and nobody's blaming him??  Knowing what we know, pac man should have been forced into a program before he buckled his chin strap.  Imagine, Jerry decides to pay a few body guards, pat him on the head, ...now be good packy, see ya on Sunday!!  ...LMAO What a FREAKING disgrace, who's really to blame ?

Said the Giants fan who have Plaxico "The Wife Beater" Burress. We gave up next to nothing for him. Personally, I dont give a damn what he does monday through saturday, as long as he preforms on Sunday, nor should anyone ever care what a giant fan thinks of the cowboys, cause at the end of the day......it's nothing but hate. Character doesnt win games, talent does.

Typical Cowboys fan w/no brains in his head.  My point was about Jerry not Pac-man Jones ...Einstein.  We expect young pro football players will be reckless bro.  If owners let lunatics run the asylum they'll burn their ZILLION dollar product to the ground.  All Jerry had to do was force Packy into a 30 program, leave the rest to substance abuse pros, and your favorite felon would be taking the field.  It boggles the mind how he can be so freaking stupid and gullible!?!?  You must be drinking that kool-aide too!!  How soon you forget character beat your number one seeded ass good, AT HOME in the playoffs.

Say what you want about Jerry Jones, you cant hate a guy for wanting to win. The fact is, the Cowboys are the richest, most reconizable team in sports for a reason, and his name is Jerry Jones.

Jerry Jones is a loser, cut from the same cloth as Al Davis...  Legends in their own minds.  They hire the best coaches, GM's, players, etc and then ...OH, I got an idea, let's get ROY WILLIAMS ....LMFAO!!  He undermines authority and has the balls to point the finger when it goes south.  Jerry won because of Jimmy Johnson, no cap, free agency ...those days are long gone.  If Jerry does what he does best (writing checks), you still have a shot.  Leave the football to your football people.  Oh yeah, ...and stay off the FXXKING sideline!!!  I disagree, Dallas is the second richest, talented, most recognizable, bunch of losers, ...that's coming from a Yankees fan.
