Five people were shot during the Entertainers Basketball Classic at Rucker Park Wednesday evening around 11pm.
Cops said it was not totally clear what sparked the violence but it may have been as simple as someone forgetting to say, “excuse me.”
Rodney Harris, who was an innocent bystander in the stands said, “All of a sudden the game stopped because an argument broke out in the stands. They started arguing, about a bad call or something like that. The guy was standing no more than five feet away from me. He pulled a gun out of his pocket and shot once. He then shot one more time. Everyone started running. He was real close to me,” Harris said. “I thought I got shot.”
Golden State point guard, Nate Robinson, also attended the game, but was not injured or hurt during the shooting.
