Rumor of the Day: Nick Saban's Agent Contacted West Virginia
Let me first say that I don't believe this for one second. West By God Virginia fully emersed himself into rumormongering with word that Nick Saban's agent contacted West Virginia about a potential interest in the coaching job.

While I think this is a considerable long shot let's consider these legit reasons  why it could be true.

1) It's Nick Saban.
2) I fully believe he's not as happy at Alabama as he expected.
3) Nick Saban was born in West Virginia
4) His wife is from West Virginia

OK, so I'm considering this as a legit rumor, but it's still too typical for message boards to throw out the 'Saban is interested' post and have thousands of dolts actually believing it. We'll be tracking ... your thoughts?

Can we get an official flight tracker on this. I can't wait for Saban to says "I am not going to be the West Virginia Coach"

Les Miles is still coaching with Saban's kids in LSU and Saban might take his 3rd different job in that time period.  That is both awesome and horrible at the same time.

FWIW ... I respect the editors on the MSU rivals site and they have no track record of throwing out horrible rumors. The head guy for spartanmag said that the Spartans coaching had heard about this today as fact and didn't push it aside 'never going to happen.'

As a BC fan, I've never really had any vested interest in Saban or where he goes. I never really held anything against him when he left LSU for the NFL, because I think I might have done the same thing. And when he left the Dolphins for Alabama, I thought pretty much the same thing. Clearly, the NFL wasn't working out for him, and maybe a trip back to the SEC was just what he needed.

But if there's any truth to this rumor, then I'll join the hordes of people who despise this guy. Enough is enough.

I've just got to say that there is what I call the "adaptive fit" for coaches. There just has to be that one program for each particular coach. We all can well tell that money is not always the motivator. He'll finally settle down into the one program that is right for him, and that he identifies with.

Hey it would be sweet justice to see what the Bama fans feel like if he did leave.  I wouldn't put it past Saban to jump ship again.

"personally asked Coach Saban about the rumor, and he told him that he is not going anywhere."

And if there's anyone who is a man of his word, it's Nick Saban.
