Russell Westbrook is finally off his crutches after tearing his lateral meniscus in his right knee on April 27th. Westbrook was injured during Game 2 of the 1st round of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets when point guard Patrick Beverly ran into Westbrook’s knee. However, Westbrook recently announced in a video that he has finally shed his crutches.
There is no timetable for Westbrook’s return, but it will take some time before Westbrook is able to gain his explosiveness back in his knees again. The good news is that Westbrook has a lot of time in the off season to properly treat his knee without having to rush back into game form.
