There's nothing like racking up 691 penalty minutes in a single hockey game
I'm sure most of you are familiar with KHL, the major hockey league over in Russia which has stolen a few NHL players over the years. Well, they're known for than just that now.
Last night, teams Vityaz Chekhov and Avangard Omsk amassed an absurd 691 penalty minutes and the game was called after only three minutes, 39 seconds because neither team had anyone left to play.
Vityaz were fined four-million rubles (US$133,300) and warned they would be thrown out of the league if there were a similar incident in the future, while Siberian team Avangard escaped with a one-million ruble fine, the KHL said on its website.
Jaromir Jagr even threw the gloves down, multiple times. Jagr said "I've never seen a fight like this before."
I especially like the part in the video where the goalie suplexes a dude*.
