Rutgers received its 11th commitment for the recruiting class of 2014 Thursday morning when cornerback Kam Lott of First Coast High School (Jacksonville, Fla.) pledged to coach Kyle Flood.Blog Photo - Rutgers Football: 3-star corner Kam Lott commits to Scarlet Knights

Lott chose the Scarlet Knights over South Florida, Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa State.

“(I like) the tradition at Rutgers, how they put people in the draft every year and it’s increasing every year, all the college kids going pro,” Lott told FOXSportsNEXT.com.

247Sports Composite ranks Lott as a three-star corner and the No. 70 overall prospect at his position. He has excellent vision and does a great job finding the ball while on the run.

During his junior year, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Lott battled his way for 30 tackles and five interceptions.

Rutgers is looking to add some depth in the secondary after losing three members to the NFL draft this past April. Lott joins two-star DB Saquan Hampton in Flood's strong-looking class of '14, which is currently listed as the 16th-best in the 247 Team Rankings.

Lott also held offers from Akron, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota and South Carolina.
