Ryan Dempster beans Alex Rodriguez; Joe Girardi ejected

Blog Photo - Ryan Dempster beans Alex Rodriguez; Joe Girardi ejectedThe Alex Rodriguez boo tour hit Boston this weekend, and tonight on Sunday Night Baseball things boiled over. A-Rod led off the second inning, and Boston pitcher Ryan Dempster wasted no time in trying to hit A-Rod. The problem is it took him four pitches before finally connecting. Incredibly, umpire Brian O'Nora didn't eject Dempster, but instead just warned both benches. Thus, the Yankees ability to retaliate was taken away. Joe Girardi was understandably not happy, and his argument got him thrown out. The Red Sox bullpen also ran onto the field for some reason.

Below is the video.

Whatever you think of A-Rod, this was bush league and Dempster should be suspended. O'Nora should also be held accountable for not ejecting Dempster. If MLB does nothing about this, then they've essentially declared open season on Rodriguez. That would be a dangerous and stupid precedent to set. Unfortunately, I suspect many people would be just fine with that sort of lawlessness.

Also, it's funny watching the Red Sox fans cheer the beaning and boo A-Rod, given the PED history of players such as Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. It's not like their house is fully clean. No one's is.

More power to Dempster.  However, if all that hit A rod are doing it because he is on roids, then have them start beaning all the other players who were suspended the day they come off the suspension list, start beaning Cabrera from the Tigers, and Chris Davis from the Orioles because according to Selig and the rest of the media I am sure they must be using as well.  Otherwise it's not because of roids, but because people simply don't like A Rod.  And if that's the case then man up Dempster and go find Bonds and Canseco in their retirement days and bean them to.  I truly find it funny how as time goes by athletes get bigger and stronger, and yet fans/media think if they hit 385 foot opposite field homeruns then they must be cheating, yet old members of the media say they witnessed guys like Frank Howard, Mickey Mantle and others who hit homeruns 560 feet and further and did it "naturally!"

I see you've finally become fully unhinged.

If Ryan Dempster and other pitchers around the league want to suddenly play God and in their own way punish guys who have either admitted to cheating the game, or been suspected of doing so then do so to every single one of the players mentioned in the reports.  Funny I never saw anybody do that to Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco, Sammy Sosa or any of the others including last years fall guy Melky Cabrera.  And if it's only done to guys who most fans and media don't like Bonds and Canseco would certainly be right up their with A-Rod in that category as well.  I seriously doubt Dempster has the marbles to walk across the field and throw a baseball at Dodger hitting coach McGwire while their in LA.  So once again this is simply a no talent punk like Dempster trying to fire up the hometown Red Sox fans by beaning A Rod.  Nice job Ryan, you made a point, gave up a home run, might get suspended and your team lost a game that could come back to bite them in their run to a playoff spot.  At least Girardi and Gardner stuck up for their so called teammate.  After three other Yankees also got hit, I would have thought the Yankee pitchers would have at least hit a Red Sox for one of the other three.  Especially considering CC's control issues.

Given how vocal players have been about all of this, I'm surprised it's taken this long for somebody to send A-Rod a message
