Les Miles has finally kicked talented and troubled QB Ryan Perrilloux off the team, for what he has stated, for good. If Miles history of discipline is any indication, he may be reinstated once fall practice begins and the Tigers head coach realizes he doesn't have a good enough QB to lead the team into it's August 30th opener.
However, there's just one problem with that. Perrilloux is rumored to be considering numerous D1-AA options, one of which could be a move to Appalachian State.
What's the problem? The upset prone Mountaineers play LSU on August 30th. *warming hands*
Perrilloux's past transgressions include, but are not limited to: consistently missing team meetings and class, trying to get into a Baton Rouge casino with underage identification, being a dumbass, getting into a bar fight, and reportedly failing a drug test recently.
While I applaud Les Miles decision to finally cut ties with the quarterback, he continues to be an example of what's wrong with college football and collegiate athletics as a whole. If Perrilloux weren't a Top 10 national recruit, he wouldn't have survived two run-ins with the law.
The former East St. John High QB is to blame for all his errors, but he's only been in environments where there were no rules because of his ability to run and throw a football. Let's hope he finds some discipline in his next home, and for selfish and entertainment reasons, here's to hoping that location is Appalachian State.
Meanwhile, who the hell is going to be quarterback for the Tigers this year?
