EURO winners Spain have been sensationally knocked out of the confederations cup by minnows USA. In a match they were expected to walk over the US, the spanish were reduced to tears at the end of the match & dumbstruck with the result. Spain bossed the match as expected from start to finish but just couldn't get the ball past US keeper howard(former ManU) who was in inspirational form & almost single handledly knocked out the spanish. a teenager scored in the 27th minute & another goal late in the second half around 75th min completely broke spanish hearts. spanish bossed the possession(65-35) & shots on goal(8-2),but couldn't get past tim howard. the US were reduced to 10 men for the 3rd time in 4 matches in the competition when yound bradley was sent off in the 86th min,but USA clinged on for a thrilling upset. in a match were the spanish claimed they would easily break brazil's record of 35 games withou defeat they have been clearly humbled. with howard in the form he is even the brazilians would find it difficult to get past him. time for some samba flair & kaka magic if they reach the finals. brazil play hosts south africa in the semis tomorrow..
