San Diego State vs. North Carolina State [Game info and open thread]
About San Diego State:
The Aztecs (26-7) were co-champions of the Mountain West along with New Mexico in the regular season. Their resume includes wins over Long Beach State, Cal, UNLV, New Mexico and two wins over Colorado State. San Diego State coach Steve Fisher is one of the tournament's more experienced head coaches, so expect the Aztecs to be well prepared for the tournament. SDSU's leading scorer and rebounder is 6-foot-5 guard Jamaal Franklin, at 17.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
About North Carolina State:
The Wolfpack (22-12) were one of the bubbliest of bubble teams, but by advancing to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament, they snuck into the NCAA Tournament. Like a few other teams in the tournament, NC State lacks a high-profile win, but instead has a lot of solid wins. The Wolfpack boasts a balanced scoring attack, with five players who average in double figures, led by sophomore forward C.J. Leslie and his 14.6 points per game.
