According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Houston Rockets have surprisingly amnestied Luis Scola in order to clear up cap space for Dwight Howard. Despite averaging 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds, Scola’s one categorical weakness was his shot blocking ability.
The amnesty will now clear up cap space and clear up space on the roster for Houston’s young frontcourt with Patrick Patterson and Royce White.
Scola will now be one of the hottest free agents on the market. His salary was for $21 million over the next three years, but with Houston now absorbing some of the contract, the Argentinian will now become one of the most pursued players on the market.
