Seattle Seahawks’ Leroy Hill was arrested by the Issaquah Police on two counts of domestic violence after the veteran linebacker allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and kept her in his home against her will, according to a report released by the Issaquah Police Department on Wednesday.

Leroy Hill is being charged with domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault and false imprisonment. Following his arrest, Leroy Hill was booked into the Kings County Jail Wednesday on both domestic violence charges.

Issaquah Police Department said they responded to a domestic violence call at Leroy Hill’s house at 4 p.m. on Tuesday after a 26-year-old woman was being kept against her will at the house. The woman told the police that Leroy Hill assaulted her several times, blocked the exit to the house and took possession of her cellphone. She was only able to escape his imprisonment after Leroy Hill went off to use the bathroom, the police report stated.

The woman was treated at a local hospital and then later released.

A team spokesman said that the Seattle Seahawks are aware of Leroy Hill’s arrest.

This is at least the fourth-time Leroy Hill has been arrested and reportedly his second arrest on domestic violence charges. Back in April 2010, Leroy Hill was arrested by the Issaquah police on fourth-degree assault-domestic violence charges. However, Leroy Hill wasn’t convicted on those charges and the case was closed after he agreed to participate in a state-certified, one-year domestic violence treatment program. The NFL suspended him two-games without pay for the domestic violence-assault in 2010.

Leroy Hill has also been arrested twice for possession of marijuana. The latest was last year in Atlanta but the charges were eventually dropped. His initial arrest came on marijuana possession charges in Georgia during 2009, for which he was sentenced to 12 months of probation.

The 30-year-old Leroy Hill signed a one-year contact with the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the 2011 offseason. Leroy Hill appeared in 13 games, while starting 12 as well as raking up 47 tackles and 1 ½ sacks this season. He is one of the two Seattle Seahawks players still on the roster from their lone Super Bowl appearance, which resulted in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Leroy Hill has played his entire NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks, while starting 89 of 97 games during eight seasons.
