Despite the fact that this post is going up on April Fool's Day, it is not an April Fool's joke. It seems that yesterday at some point, designs for the Seattle Seahawks' new alternate jersey leaked out. I first found the jersey on 4chan, but confirmed that it first appeared on Green Glare, a well known Seahawks blog, on March 31st (so not an April Fool's joke). UniWatch also confirmed that this jersey has been rumored to be coming out for months, so here you go, the third jersey for your 2009 Seattle Seahawks.

Good lord those things are ugly. It'll be like a lime green popsicle running down the field. Or a giant booger.

You know what, I'll just stop now.

But seriously, I can't be the only one that thinks these Seahawks jerseys give the old Tampa Bay Bucs ones a run for the money.

Man, I tell you what. It's one close call in my mind. Also, I'm really hungry for sherbet right about now.

6	Seattle has been toying with making the accent stripe color a full-fledged jersey for a while now. I never though it would become a reality, but there you go. 49ers debut new duds on April 25. Hopefully they look better than this.

These are hideous. I've actually seen people wearing similar jerseys to these in the stadium the last couple of years and I always say "WHY!?" - leave the green as an accent for the love of all that his holy.

No Eric - I won't faint. Thank goodness they're the THIRD jersey and I won't have to see it on a regular basis.
No Scott - I won't be buying a Houshmandzadeh jersey...I'd like to see how he works out on my team before I decide to get him traded, injured, force him into retirement...

I like the current ones but the team has said "Don't be surprised to see championship colors". I think a version of the old 80's ones could do well. I do like the gold addition to the oval, so maybe they lose the dark garnet and go back to the red. Either way, my WIllis jersey is on hold until after Draft Day.
