Another NBA off-season, another round of Dwight "Where's He Gonna Play Next" Howard drama-- at least that's what we were all expecting. This time around, however, it appears as if Howard has decided to let the entire sports world off the hook with the swift announcement that he plans to sign with the 2011-2012 Miami Heat.
"At this point in my career, I'm focused on winning titles," announced Howard, with a smile so wide he was hardly able to fit through the doorway. "To be able to win not just one, but both championships I so clearly deserve is both a blessing and a very savvy business move on my part, if I may say so myself," he said so himself.
Dwight's search for a title took him from Orlando to LA this past season, where he had to cope playing alongside other all-stars, including one other 7-footer. Dwight prefers having his head closest to the hoop, and so needless to say, his campaign with the Lakers was a very emotional one.
"My time with the Lakers was a learning experience, and I think I've matured because of it," reflected Howard while wearing a superman cape. "But now it's time to not dwell on the past, to move forward, and to sign retroactively with the 2011-2012 Miami Heat."
Let us all congratulate Dwight Howard on his two championships so that we too can move forward.
