However, he's also been been harshly criticized by organizations such as Amnesty International, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Jewish Committee, and the Arizona chapter of the Anti-Defamation League.
Which makes this next sentence even more hilarious.
Arpaio's going to take away Shaq's special deputy's badge in Maricopa County because Shaq used derogatory racial terms to describe Kobe during that infamous NYC freestyle rap.
"I want his two badges back," Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."No, Arpaio would never condone this type of act, which is why he and his posse have consistently been accused of racial profiling.
In all honesty, I'm not sure what's worse. Shaq's rap or Arpaio whoring for the press. Let's just call it a tie.
