Ok, so maybe everyone was right when they said the Shaq trade was a horrible idea. After all, the Suns are 2-4 since the Big Diesel showed up, and even worse, they lost to the lowly Sixers on Saturday. That's not so good. Now, it's possible that Shaq might eventually gel with the team and they'll get going. But as of right now, the stats for Shaq's impact on the Suns are mind-blowingly awful.
Let's check them out, from 82games.com. Most of these stats are based on "per 48 minute" basis.

So here's what this tells us.
One: With Shaq on the court, the Suns are scoring less.
Two: With Shaq on the court their defense is worse (way worse).
Three: The team is actually shooting better with Shaq on the bench.
Four: They're blocking fewer shots with Shaq in the game.
Five: He's helping rebounding.
So there you go. I originally thought this trade wouldn't be terrible for the Suns, but right now, it looks like an absolute nightmare.
I think everyone assumed Shaq would help with rebounding, but not with the extra cost of completely killing the team's offense and defense.
Again, we're only 6 games into this experiment, but right now, it doesn't look real good, to say the least.
