UPDATE: Shaq is unfortunately not going anywhere. Nor are most guys. The biggest trade is Rafer Alston to the Magic.

Is the Big Diesel about to be moved to the Cavaliers?

At first all of the signs were pointing to Amare Stoudemire being traded.

However, now that Terry Porter has been fired and Alvin Gentry, the former assistant of Mike D’Antoni , is the new head coach, the suns are back to their fast break offense.

Stoudemire clearly fits better in that system which is evident by his 40 point outburst on the Clippers Wenesday night.

The person who now seems likely to be traded is Shaquille O’Neal. I originally read two reports claiming that the Cavaliers have offered Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic to the Suns for the Big Aristotle.

However, new reports are saying that the trade talks have stalled, because the Suns are pushing Cleveland to substitute Wally Szczerbiak for Ben Wallace.

If the Cavaliers pull this deal off, you might as well Fedex the Larry O’Brien Trophy to Quicken Loans Arena.

2	Two wins against the Clippers hardly shows anything substantial. However, the run and gun signs of life are showing, we will just need to see if they can execute it against a team with talent. Shaq to Cleveland? That would be awesome for them and make Shaq the luckiest guy on the planet to play with Kobe, D-Wade, and LeBron. The way he is playing they would be instant title favorites.

0	Ben Wallace doesn't do anything and nobody has told Sasha that he can't shoot 3's yet. Shaq is still so dominating that I'd love to see a lineup of King, Mo, Shaq Daddy, Z and Wally/Delonte

I can't stop laughing right now! The Cavs are 41-11 good enough for the 3rd best record in the NBA without Mr. O'Neal. We've all heard the old saying, "Don't try to fix something if it's not broken." That would be the case here. Cavs management should take some notes from the Suns debacle last season. They were 37-16 (.698%) about the time Shaq arrived, but finished the season 18-11(.620%). The Suns were bounced out of the playoffs 4-1 by the Spurs in Round 1.

I love the idea of the Shaq/Kobe, Shaq/D-Wade, Shaq/Bron Trilogy, but I don't see it working at this stage of Shaq's career. I understand that "Big Ben" is having a horrible season, but he's got some valuable playoff experience that will still benefit the Cavs come April-June!
