The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take their 9-game bowl losing streak to the Aloha State, as they will play the University of Hawaii Warriors tonight in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl at 8:00 pm EST.
Jimmy Clausen, Charlie Weis and the Golden Domers will play in one of the worst possible environments for a team in a bowl game, as this will be, without a doubt, a Hawaii home game, plain and simple. If there's any home field advantage that compares to Boise State's Smurf Turf, it's the crowd at Aloha Stadium. I speak from experience, as a season ticket holder from last season. I also attended the Hawaii Bowl 2 years ago, when Colt Brennan broke the single season passing TD record in a bowl win over Arizona State.
51% of FanIQ picked Hawaii to win. I can only surmise that the other 49% are involved in some sort of recreational drug use, because there's no way Notre Dame is winning this game. The Irish have lost 4 of their last 5, and were 1-5 against teams who ended up in a bowl this year.
This will be the 10th straight bowl loss for the Irish. Write that down. If you're watching the game (on ESPN), this is the place to chat it up. This is where you can talk a little smack, make fun of the Irish, and criticize every stupid move that Charlie Weis makes. Hopefully your fingers don't fall off, because they could be busy, if you do all that.
