After receiving a massive boost in the form of funds from the Manchester United owners (owing to the New York flotation), Sir Alex Ferguson has once again entered the football market with interest in top-notch football players.
Reports from the Mirror and various other media outlets point towards Sir Alex Ferguson’s interest in the latest football prodigy from Brazil, Lucas Moura. Lucas Moura has created a lot of hype in the football market following his superb form for Sao Paulo last season. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder appeared in 35 games, scored nine goals and provided seven assists.
Sir Alex Ferguson has once again sent a team of officials to analyze if the deal with Lucas Moura is still possible. Chelsea and Real Madrid are also in the race to sign in Lucas Moura. However, the teenage is inclined towards a move to Manchester United. A couple of months ago, Sir Alex Ferguson invited Lucas Moura’s father to Manchester United which nearly sealed the deal with Brazilian youngster.
However, in case Manchester United fails to acquire the services of Lucas Moura once again; Sir Alex Ferguson has lined up a new list of candidates to end Manchester United’s midfield misery. As of last week, the Porto duo James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho have turned out to be Manchester United’s top transfer targets.
Manchester United still desire Luka Modric within their ranks but Tottenham Hotspur have further increased the price tag on the Croatia international. Also, the 26-year-old central midfielder has become an object of interest for Real Madrid.
