Six Seattle Mariners have combined for yet another no-hitter this year.Kevin Millwood threw only 68 pitches in 6 innings, striking out 6 and walking 1 to start the no-no. Charlie Furbush, Stephen Pryor, Lucas Luetge, Brandon League and Ton Wilhelmsen combined to wrap up the final 3 innings for a 1-0 Mariners win.
Millwood actually took himself out of the game while warming up before the 7th inning, due to a mild right groin strain.
This is the 2nd time Millwood has been involved in a no-hitter. The first time was all by himself, on April 27, 2003 for the Phillies, when he no-hit the Giants.
Add this one to the list along with Philip Humber, Jered Weaver and Johan Santana.
Congrats to the Mariners for this interesting feat.
