I'm not nearly as big a fan of the Winter Olympics as I am of the Summer Olympics, but I still love the Winter Olympics. The primary reason for that is because there are so many weird sports in the Winter Olympics. Ski jumping, biathalon, curling, skeleton, snowman making, etc. And also, I always find myself asking questions like "Who on earth was the first guy who said 'You know, I think I should hop off a ramp at a really high speed and fly in the air down a hill." A man with steel cojones, is the answer.
Also, the Winter Olympics are useful because this is the worst time of the year in sports. And let's not forget the downhill, the best Olympic event period, summer or winter.
Anyway, today is basically the official start of the games, and there's plenty on, including ski jumping!
Feel free to chat it up all day and night here.
