American rapper Snoop Dogg has expressed desire to lead out Celtic when they lock horns with Juventus in the Champions League this month. The superstar wants to lead the team onto the field with a club banner before the pre-game ceremony.

Snoop Dogg has turned into a huge fan of the Scottish club, who currently possess a 15-point lead on top of the Scottish Premier League. Celtic’s heroics against Barcelona during the Group Stage of the Champions League caused a lot of heads to turn in their direction.

Celtic went down 2-1 to Barcelona in the first leg of their Group G encounter before recording recorded a comeback victory with a similar score-line during the second leg. Victory over Barcelona helped Celtic grab a two-point lead over Benfica and the opportunity to record more success in the Champions League.

The first leg of the two encounters will take place at Turin, Italy. Therefore, all Celtic fans should start preparing for an away trip. Snoop Dogg is ready for an invasion at Juventus Stadium, but only if he is able to acquire a ticket of the game.

The multi-millionaire recently announced that he is in search for a ticket of the sold-out game. The world icon, who changed his name to Snoop Lion after converting to Rastafarianism last year, wore a Celtic scarf as he presented his plea at a media event in Dubai last week.

Snoop Dogg is so eager to obtain a ticket of next Tuesday’s game at Parkhead that he has offered to lead the Celtic first-team onto the pitch before the game begins.

“It’s the one I need to go to. It’s the game we’ve been waiting for,” Snoop Dogg said.

“I need tickets but I want to walk out with the team like a little kid with a banner. Yes, yes make it happen.

“Hail, hail the Celts are here. Yabadabadoo!”

Snoop Dogg, who was first seen wearing a Celtic jersey in 2005, is also keen on investing in Celtic Football Club.

“I fell in love with the club and what better way to show my support than to be part of it,” the 41-year-old rapper said. “I just want to learn more about it and I figured if I become part of it, I’ll do that.”
