As someone with a journalism background, I'm well aware that I'm killing the industry by doing what I'm doing right here. But I still hold some respect for it, at least that was until NBC 17 came around. Because of some stupid NCAA regulations, the station can't show highlights of the Tournament, so they decided to reenact the games with stuffed animals and GI Joe figures. It was funny the first time when they reenacted Duke/Belmont. But then they did it again for the UNC/Mt. St. Mary's game. And as much as I like seeing Tyler Hansbrough as Jason from Friday the 13th slashing to the hole, it was much less funny this time around. Of course, if they got a Terrelle Pryor action figure, I might reconsider my position.
By the way, if you're wondering why mainstream journalism, both print and TV, is in serious trouble, this video should make it clear.
