NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma might be ahead 13-7 at halftime against West Virginia, but starting quarterback Trevor Knight has not played well.

A week after a shaky start against ULM, Knight went 9-of-15 in the first half but started the first quarter 3-of-9.

Knight, not Blake Bell, got every snap in the first half, including a number of short-yardage situations. The Sooners were inside the 5-yard line late in the first half, but couldn't get it in the endzone, settling instead for a Michael Hunnicutt field goal.

And while the Sooners did manage 228 yards of offense, they turned it over twice in the first half and benefitted from a pair of West Virginia turnovers.

Knight won the starting job in mid-August over Bell. Bell had 24 touchdowns over the past two seasons, playing extensively in goal-line and short-yardage situations.
