NORMAN, Okla – Oklahoma dropped a spot in the Associated Press rankings and lost a linebacker for the rest of the season.
Despite beating TCU, 20-17, Saturday, the Sooners didn't have a great weekend as they improved to 5-0 heading into their game this week against Texas.

Nelson has 27 tackles this season and scored on an interception return against Notre Dame that gave the Sooners their first touchdown of the game in the 35-21 win. Dominique Alexander, a freshman, replaced Nelson Saturday at outside linebacker. Aaron Franklin is listed behind Nelson on the depth chart.
Meanwhile, OU fell behind UCLA in the AP poll, dropping to No. 12. OU remained at No. 10 in the coaches poll.
Baylor (4-0) at No. 15 and Texas Tech (5-0) at No. 20 are the only other undefeated teams in the Big 12. The Sooners will play Texas Tech in Norman and will be at Baylor later this season.
