Blog Photo - South African olympian Oscar Pistorius charged with murder in his girlfriend's deathLance Armstrong. Manti Te'o. Now Oscar Pistorius might be the biggest transformation story yet, from good to evil.

The South African sprinter was an inspiration to many, when he ran in the Olympics with a prosthetic leg. He was the first double-amputee track athlete ever to compete in the Olympic games.

A year later, he's now being charged for murder in the death of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.

There are reports that Steenkamp's death was accidental, and that Pistorius may have thought she was a burglar, but police aren't revealing very much as of yet.

There have, however, been previous domestic incidents of some kind at the Pistorius home, according to police.

This is obviously a tragic story, and one can only hope that it wasn't a cold-blooded murder. We'll find out more details as they emerge.

I think sometimes being in the spotlight and having people scream your name, cheer for you, follow you, ask for autographs, etc., does go to a celebrity's head.  Their egos get bigger than their talent and they believe they can do anything, that they are above the law.  Not everyone, certainly, but some.

Maybe that's what happened with him, maybe not, but it is a sad situation, whatever the circumstances.
