Lance Armstrong. Manti Te'o. Now Oscar Pistorius might be the biggest transformation story yet, from good to evil.
The South African sprinter was an inspiration to many, when he ran in the Olympics with a prosthetic leg. He was the first double-amputee track athlete ever to compete in the Olympic games.
A year later, he's now being charged for murder in the death of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.
There are reports that Steenkamp's death was accidental, and that Pistorius may have thought she was a burglar, but police aren't revealing very much as of yet.
There have, however, been previous domestic incidents of some kind at the Pistorius home, according to police.
This is obviously a tragic story, and one can only hope that it wasn't a cold-blooded murder. We'll find out more details as they emerge.
