Receivers Terrance Mitchell, Chris Dunkley and running back Bradley Battles were disciplined Monday evening for unspecified reasons.
"They could be back,” said Taggart. “They have to do something, do what it takes to get back out there. They can be back. They're not just going to get on this team. You don't just get on this team any kind of way. They have to make sure they're doing their part to be on this football team."
Dunkley is known for his off-field antics, having been suspended already since September for a domestic violence charge. A Florida transfer, he hasn’t seen the field since 2011 – and likely won’t in 2013.
The loss of Mitchell for even a few games would be pretty significant for South Florida. He’s a big threat on special teams and was expected to make the transition to cornerback, where he found much success in high school as a three-star recruit.
USF begins practice this Wednesday and will host its annual spring game on April 13.
