Welcome to Day 2 of the Euro 2008 Semifinals. Once again we've got an unlikely match-up as Spain goes up against ~~the USSR~~ Russia. Now while you may be saying to yourself, sure, Russia's a surprise, but why is Spain a surprise? Because they're the anti-Brazil of soccer. They never win big tournaments even though they always have talented teams.

So the question now is: who wins? The underdog Russians, who beat a heavily favored Netherlands team? Or the Spaniards, who are pretty much in uncharted waters?

Well, conventional wisdom says Spain will win, primarily because they waxed Russia 4-1 in the first round of the tournament behind a hat trick from David Villa. But since that game, Russia has been on.

We'll see what happens, all I know is that any Russian player that scores a goal will be given two Russian ladies free of charge. So I'm starting to like their odds.

Talk it up here. And as always, I expect you to ream any player who dives.

Russia looked pretty solid in that first half. With Villa out of the match, their chances are looking better and better.

True. Russia does not play like the team which beat the Netherlands. Would be suprised if they can turn this match around. The 2-0 is coming sooner. Damn I'll loose some big points over this match...

LOL I read it they other way around. I think without Villa is an improvement for Spain. They other guy(can't pronounce his name) is less a striker but he lets the team play better.
