Sports fans get awful Ronda Rousey and Boston Bruins Jesus tattoos

Today's edition of 'Horrible Sports Tattoos' features Ronda Rousey, the Bruins, and... Jesus?

Some athletes have terrible tattoos.

Some fans have some pretty terrible sports-related tattoos. Some of them don't even make sense.

The bottom line is that many times, sports and tattoos are a terrible mix. Not always, but often.

Over the past few days, we've seen a few more examples of that. Of course, it's all a matter of taste. Some of you might think these are all great. Some of you might be mortified. It's all in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. But either way, SOMEONE thought these were good ideas and decided to permanently place them on their body.

Exhibit A: Boston Bruins Jesus. Yes, you read that right. Here it is.

Apparently Jesus Christ is now a Bruins alternate captain. I'm a Bruins fan, and not particularly religious, but I honestly have no words for this.

Next up: Topless Ronda Rousey.

In case you missed it, this is supposed to be a tribute to Rousey's appearance in ESPN magazine. You can be the judge and decide whether or not it's well done.

I tend to prefer the real picture, but that's just me.

Last but not least, former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett posted this picture on Instagram. It's former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel, who ironically was let go after several violations that included players getting free tattoos and exchanging rings and memorabilia for tattoos. Priceless.

What's your take on these tattoos? Good, bad, or ugly?

That tat looks nothing at all like Rhonda Rousey. And the Jesus tat?? No words at all

Also, FWIW, I think that getting a human face tattooed on your body is almost always a bad idea. I've seen hundreds of them, and only a couple have actually looked decent.

I like the logo thing - and tributes of other sorts. In fact, I'm adding 3 or 4 feathers in Seahawks colors to another of my tattoos with 12 total strategically placed barbs (the stripes on the feathers) for my team at some point.

These are a little much for my taste as well - and omg they're huge if they want to cover them up at some point! Eek.

indecision People are crazy. I love tattoos - and my teams - as much as the next guy, and I've seen some pretty cool ones...but what are these people thinking? Portrait tats are kinda iffy to begin with, and while I understand why someone would want one as a tribute to a deceased family member or their child or something (which is still weird to me, but that's just me), why on earth would you plaster a sports figure's face - or anything else of theirs - on your body? Forever?! I can see logos and other team images but...just...wow.

(Also, Rousey's smile is adorable - why would the artist not make her smiling like in the pic?)
