Holy Mother of All Things Holy! The St. Louis Billikins set a new record for futility by scoring 20 points tonight in a loss to George Washington. That is the lowest point total in the shot clock era. See the horror that is the box score here. The Bills leading scorer Bryce Husak had 5 points. He also led the team in shooting percentage by going 1 for 3. The team shot 14.8% from the field, but made up for that by shooting 50% from the stripe. Thankfully for Rick Majerus and his squad, the game was on the road. Not that the Colonials' fans were much happier...their squad only put up 49 points, but a 29 point win is a win, right?
In Rick Majerus's first season at the helm at the SLU, they have lost by 41 at...wait for it...Kent State, lost to Sam Houston St. by 8, and lost to Boston College by 22 while scoring 39 points. They scored 41 points in that stellar effort versus Kent State.
It's a good thing Ricky is known for living out of a hotel room. I don't think he'll be in St. Louis long enough to justify a house.
