Steven Stamkos Tampa Bay Lightning star Steven Stamkos got stretchered off the Ice Monday against the Boston Bruins with a leg injury. The Bruins went crashing into the net on the play when Stamkos was back-checking and got tied up with Boston defenseman Dougie Hamilton. Stamkos went crashing into the right post and rolled over in obvious pain with 7:11 left in the second.

What does this mean for the Bolts? Well, Stamkos is arguably the best player in the NHL, leading all of Hockey in scoring......again. And, if this is a Severe injury that could keep out for months to even all year, it kills all hope for a Stanley Cup possibility, and it might also kill the playoffs for them. Being a Lightning fan, this pains me to death, seeing our Best player go down with a leg injury. So, can the Lightning,1st in their division, still make the playoffs? It all depends on how long this injury is.
