About Me:
I get goosebumps for exciting victories and tears for championship defeat (even if it's not my team). I thrive on football and hockey, but I'll watch almost any sport - and give me enough time, I'll be obsessed. I cheer for the underdog if I don't have a set team preference for a specific game - and I'm thrilled when the Cinderella team wins it all (as long as it's not against my team!) Pro-retirement ceremonies are one of the very few things that can make me cry but I always watch them anyway. I LOVE road trips and anything outdoorsy - but my idea of *A* perfect day is spent curled up in an overstuffed chair with sunflower seeds and a drink, the Q on the laptop, the NFL on from morning through afternoon and the NHL in the evening on a big screen TV. Color me happy...but call me lazy.

Back in The Igloo - Can the Pens Make it to Seven?
by Jess
6/4/08

After an intense, although tiring, win for the Penguins Monday night, here we are in Game 6 - Detroit leading the series 3-2. The Penguins may have the upper hand tonight. The younger team may recuperate faster after an extra 3 periods played in the last game, but the Red Wings are tough, durable, and never say die.

Sure, the Red Wings could win the game and hoist the Cup tonight, but wouldn't it be so much better if they could do it in the Joe in Game 7? Crosby & Co. will need to pull that momentum and Fleury's acrobatics from Monday's game into the battle tonight to live another day and play the first Stanley Cup Game 7 in franchise history. . .Lidstrom and his bunch will need to dust themselves off after a disappointing loss and play as well as they have all season in order to enjoy champagne showers tonight.

Highlights from an amazing Game 5:

Let's hope tonight's offense is as exciting, the goalie saves are as awe inspiring, the hits are as brutal, and the officiating is less disputable than last game. Here's to another nail biter - let's Q it up here!

Looks like I will lose in the game pool.  I had Pittsburgh scoring first.

It's kinda funny watching the iso cams on NBC.com, because the cameraman seems to get bored, and randomly do stuff.  During a commercial, it randomly focused on Hasek sitting near a tunnel and picking his nose.

You know, I noticed that a few weeks ago on an NBC playoff broadcast.
They were following Ovetchkin, and he got knocked out of the game.  It was like the cameraman didn't know what to do while he was out of sight.

I was going to ask if anyone out there was watching the on line iso cams.

During play, they focus on random Red Wings from the one I watch, but they also go to other guys too.  It was funny, one of the interview cams was the iso cam, and you could see Pierre interviewing the guy, but had no audio.

Iso Cam went back to the tunnel where Hasek's been all game, but he's missing.
