If you think the Knicks have had a pretty bad year, you'd be more than right. But I'm sure you probably thought, well, there's nothing else that can happen this year. But you'd be wrong.
Stephon Marbury is now being called out in a video by Jamel Thomas, who played a total of 12 NBA games. If you're wondering why in the hell Thomas' words would mean anything to Marbury - and trust me, they won't - it's because Thomas is the older half-brother of current Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Sebastian Telfair. With the way Telfair's career is going, he may soon join his half-brother in Italy, which is where Thomas is playing.
But the point is both Thomas and Marbury come from the same area of NYC, and as you'll see, Thomas isn't impressed with Starbury's generosity - and expresses it in rap poetry form. Or something.
Anyway, I'm not sure what the market is for books written by guys who played a total of 12 career NBA games, but Thomas is apparently writing a book, and he used this video to hype the book and knock Starbury. Here are the chapters of his supposedly upcoming book:
1) I Was Too Young To Cry
2) Welcome to 11F
3) Exposed to Temptation
4) I Was Self Destructing, But Look at Me Now (Pops pink sweater, for no real reason)
5) Rocked Away from Coney Island
6) The Divine Providence, Which We All Have
7) The Hidden Truth
8) Me, The Beautiful Struggle
As you can tell, Thomas is awful humble, especially for a guy who played in a full 12 NBA games. By the way, if this guy winds up writing a book that actually gets published, we should all be ashamed of ourselves for not writing at least 4 or 5 ourselves.
Just so you know, there's a ninth chapter being considered as well. It's titled "How to rock a pink sweater vest like a complete tool."
Stephon Marbury is being called out, sort of [Deadspin]
Starbury has built up a wall of bricks so high that these words just bounce off harmlessly. Hey Jamel, you will need a bigger crapapult errr catapult to hit Starbury with your rapier like tongue lashing.
