Mandatory Credit: Russ Isabella-USA TODAY SportsAfter being out of the game since November, Steve Blake will return to the Lakers' roster on Tuesday night against the Hornets. He announced it on his Facebook, saying:

“Road to Recovery update: I’ve been cleared to play in next Tuesday’s game. It’s been a long road and I’m thankful for the support. I’m really looking forward to being back on the court with the LA Lakers.”

As Lakers Nation pointed out, Coach Mike D'Antoni has liked Blake since his college days at Maryland, and has always felt that he fit well into his system.

The unfortunate thing is that Steve Blake is equally as inconsistant and at times non-productive as Chris Duhon and Darius Morris. Looking at D'Antoni's recent bench rotation, this could spell a kind of disaster, since he gives lots of minutes to his "flavor of the week."

It will be good to have Blake back, because he's a good leader, but it's uncertain if he'll be more of an asset or a D'Antoni-favorite liability.
