Steve Nash May Retire
According to Peter Vecsey, Steve Nash is seriously considering retirement. Vecsey tweeted, “I'm hearing Nash's pain is forcing him 2 seriously consider calling it a career. He'd still get $ this yr & next & LA'd get cap relief next.”
Nash and the Lakers have both said that they would like to see Nash fulfill his contract for this year and next, but Nash’s ailing body may not allow him. Ever since breaking his leg last season, Nash’s body has been slowly falling apart.
The former MVP will be turning 40-years-old in February and can barely move on the court, let alone stay on it. In the mean time, Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar will take over point guard duties and continue to push the pace for the new run-n-gun Lakers.
