Hingle-USA TODAY SportsIt was recently announced that Steve Nash will be out for at least two weeks with nerve root irritation, and he’s headed to Canada for treatment. According to Lakers’ reporter Mike Trudell:

The plan right now for @SteveNash is to go to Vancouver next week while the team is on the Eastern trip to work with his own therapist.

The Lakers players are allowed to go see their own doctors, as opposed to the team doctors, and since Nash has suffered from similar injuries in the past, this therapist probably knows him well.

With Nash injured, there are rumors that he is considering retirement due to his injury, but it’s still too soon for that to be decided. However, the way that things are looking, that might be the best thing for the Lakers, to get Nash's contract off their books.
