I'm sure all of you are familiar with the fact that Steve Smith beat the snot out of his Carolina Panthers teammate Ken Lucas last week, and that Smith will be suspended for two regular season games.Today, Smith offered one heck of an apology.
“I’m not going to get into who’s right, who’s wrong. I’m completely wrong,” Smith said. “It was an asinine decision. And I’ll move forward better than I probably have ever had to. It’s the first time in my life that I really haven’t forgiven myself.”
“I’m a fallen man. I’m a man that made a mistake,” Smith said. “I plan to mend the bridges that I’ve burned and help rebuild the bridge, if I need to all by myself.”
But while Smith is apologizing, apparently Reebok - one of his sponsors - could care less. As you can see on your above right, that's a brand new Reebok ad that's been running on ESPN featuring Smith, um, punching you in the face. But hey, I guess it could always be worse.

Still, if I were Reebok, I'd get that ad down awful quick. But that teaching assistant one, I think that one should stay up.
