Steve Spurrier Admits To Voting For Jevan Snead Over Tim Tebow In Preseason All-SEC First Team

Spurrier Admits That He Is The Tebow Hater, Who Voted For Jevan Snead For All-SEC First Team Over Tebow

In an amazing turn of events, Steve Spurrier was the one who didn't vote for Tim Tebow as All-sec team. Very shocking it didn't turn out to be Lane Kiffin. UT fan's can breathe a sigh of relief. Spurrier is scheduled to speak later today and you can only wonder how he came to this decision

*Editor's note: It was reported today on ESPN that Spurrier says it was a misunderstanding, whatever that means. Just look out for November 14. I'm sure Tim Tebow will have that game circled on his schedule.*

I'd say, "The Ole' Ball Coach "looks pretty dumb right about now.

We'll keep it to 350......

Well, now I have ONE reason to like Spurrier...but not sure what the big deal is.  Yet another one of ESPN's media darlings is (barely) dissed, and they have to blow it completely out of proportion.

ESPN FAIL. (<---one of the more common "fails.")

Not if unanimous All-SEC 3rd team QB Stephen Garcia has anything to say about it!

I just don't understand how this is a big deal. Even if it wasn't a "mistake" who cares. They voted for who they wanted. It's not like it matters at all.

I wonder who Tebow wants to destroy more, Vols or Gamecocks. The coaches are writing checks their teams can't cash. It's gonna be another ugly year for the sec east.

Well it really not a big deal if he vote for him or not. The media is trying to stir up some mess like they always do. This is America. You have the choice to vote for who you want to. That's his chioce and the media needs to stop trying to make a big deal out of it. Tedow is a humble guy and is a very christian person. So he letting  go in one hear and coming out the other one. I like Tebow, he's a great guy and I know he thinks nothing of it.

Spurrier probably still has a little Gator in his heart therefore he's not drinking the Gatorade he's gulping the HATERADE!

On a grand scale it doesn't mean anything but right now all we have is the preseason speculation and Tebow is the obvious choice as he was a Heisman candidate and Snead was not so it's sort of a slight. Media needs something to talk about.

7/24/09   |   tpowell25   |   1627 respect

I don't understand the big deal about this.  No one makes a fuss about it when Spurrier votes for Duke on his preseason ballot every year.

It's freaking preseason.  It means absolutely nothing.

Don't be upset when Tebow doesn't vote for you when Homecoming Queen time rolls around at S.C.
