LaDainian Tomlinson was the NFL's AP MVP for the 2006 season. Peyton Manning took home the honor in 2004, and also shared it with Steve McNair in 2003. This year, however, both of them have played a bit below their normal level. After 10 games, Tomlinson only has 5 rushing TD's, far below his career average of over 1 TD per game. Manning struggled throughout the beginning of the season, and the Colts started 3-4. He has thrown 7 TD's with no interceptions in the past 3 games, however, all resulting in wins for the Colts.
Tonight, the Colts will face the Chargers in San Diego in what is almost a must-win for both teams. The Chargers are 4-6 and is looking to gain a game on the AFC West-leading Broncos, who lost to the Raiders 31-10 earlier today.
The Colts are 6-4, but still trail the Titans by 4 games in the win column, and need a win to keep pace with the Patriots and Ravens for a wild card spot.
78% of FanIQ picked the Colts to win, by an average score of 27-22. My money is on the Colts as well, with the rebirth of their offense, and Peyton Manning looking like his old self once again. My pick: Colts 22, Chargers 17.
