For nearly the past decade or so, the Patriots and Colts have been the juggernauts of the AFC. They have represented the AFC in 5 of the last 7 Super Bowls, accounting for 4 victories between them. This year is a whole different story, as the Patriots are struggling to stay atop their weak division, and the Colts are struggling just to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Tom Brady has typically owned the Colts throughout his career. However, Tom Brady isn't walking through that door, so Matt Cassel will be left the unenviable task of picking up the slack for the Patriots, who are hoping to move into first place all alone with a win. The Colts can only hope to remain only 4 games behind the AFC South division-leading Titans.
62% of FanIQ have picked the Colts to win. I'm a little more optimistic than that, so I'm saying the Patriots take this one, 27-17.
