The Phoenix Suns have just fired head coach Alvin Gentry after a 13-28 record. The Suns currently have the fourth worst record in the NBA, just ahead of Charlotte, Washington, and Cleveland. Gentry replaced Terry Porter as the interim head coach after getting fired, but now finds himself following Porter’s footsteps. Gentry was in the final year of his contract and owner Robert Sarver was probably going to let him go after this year anyway.
Either Elston Turner or Lindsey Hunter will now be the interim head coach until the Suns find a permanent replacement.
